Glasgow Kiltwalk Raises Thousands for Local Hospice

Monday 26th August 2019

Supporters of St. Vincent’s Hospice have raised more than £15,000 for the local charity by taking part on the Glasgow Kiltwalk.

The Hospice was represented by teams from teams from Café Nero, Laurie Ross Insurance, the Hospice Walking group, as well as several individual supporters and staff who took up the challenge. Together, they raised an incredible total of £15,666 for patient care and services at St. Vincent’s.

Fundraising manager at St. Vincent’s Hospice, Carol-Ann Lamont, said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed by the amount raised by the Kiltwalk, and owe a huge thank you to every single person who took part and donated.

“As a charity, we have to raise nearly £1.5 million every year to allow us to provide specialist care and support for those in the community who are impacted by life limiting conditions. This is only possible thanks to the time and selfless efforts of so many people, taking time out of their busy lives to do incredible things, just like this, on our behalf.

“From all of us at the Hospice, thank you!”

If you missed out on your chance to take part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk, there is still time to sign up and take part in the Dundee event on the 18th of August, and Edinburgh on the 15th September. Sign up at:
